I have been involved in the dog show scene for over 25 years, and have exhibited and handled many different breeds across the groups. For the last 12 years, it’s been purely a “Whippet” thing. I currently own four boys who have all proved themselves well in the ring, including a first prize at Crufts.

I have always had an interest in photography, and spent many a long hour in the darkroom when studying A-level art. For the past 20 years, I have worked as a professional canine beautician, having owned my own salon for the last 9 years. The need to achieve balance and harmony in a perfectly groomed dog, along with my many years of experience in the show ring, has given me a natural ‘eye’ for a good photograph.

I started out taking a few pictures for friends to feature in breed year-books and advertisements, and it’s been a natural progression from there. I submitted a portfolio to Our Dogs in November 2007, and have started to cover shows in my local area (Devon & Cornwall) and Whippet events all over the country.

Second only to dogs is my passion for beautiful cars, which I also love to photograph.

I was also placed Runner-Up in the Man’s Best Friend category of 2008’s Kennel Club Photographer of the Year competition.
