As the first event of its Golden Jubilee celebration year, the Pointer Club held a glittering Supermatch Contest of Champions last weekend at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth at which members, guests and friends had an enjoyable evening. All the dogs competing were either show or full champions.

Best in match was Evans & Rawlings' bitch Sh Ch Joneva Waiting in the Wings pictured here with judges, l to r, Mrs Julie Organ, Mrs Shirley Rhodes and Mr Malcolm Leslie all of whom have been an integral part of the Pointer world.

Later in the year the club will hold a field trial on the Balmoral Estate in Scotland and in September a 50th anniversary party in Yorkshire for members. Look out for the exclusive feature celebrating this unique event in a forthcoming issue of OUR DOGS.
