Kingston needs a special friend

Adorable Kingston is a five-month old Akita puppy who sadly has very poor sight and is also deaf, so really struggles to find his way.

He has had a tough start to life having been found straying near Bradford before being taken in by Dogs Trust near Leeds.

Now staff are hoping to find Kingston a loving home with a ‘guide dog’ who will help him deal with his disabilities.

Amanda Sands, Manager of Dogs Trust Leeds Rehoming Centre, explains:

‘Little Kingston’s visual impairment and deafness mean he needs special owner who is prepared to give him extra care and attention.

Ideally we are looking for a home with another friendly dog that could act as his guide. He may also have epilepsy which we are currently treating with medication.

If this helps it will need to be continued in his new home.”

Anyone interested in rehoming Kingston should contact the Rehoming Centre on 0113 281 4920.
